2026 Election

The 2026 November Election for California is coming up. There are important Propositions on the ballot. As the leading grassroots effort in our State, our executive committee has proposed and has put forth our selections to help guide voters.

Prop 1 NO

The Veterans Affordable Housing Bond - State to borrow $11.25 B. General Obligation bond

Only $1.25 billion for vets. Rest is fungible!!

Prop 2 NO

Save for California's Future Act 2026

Creates a new taxpayer funded slush fund for Legislators  -  Deceiving title

Prop 3 NO

Extends existing tax rate on high incomes permanently

No!  CA tax rates are among the highest in the nation.  CA has a spending problem - not an income problem.

Prop 4 NO

California Fair Elections Act 

Allows local governments to use taxpayer funds to finance local candidates whether or not you support them.

Prop 5 NO

Elections: recall of state officers

Makes it more difficult to recall state officers. If Governor , Lt. Governor. will replace him/her. Other offices will remain vacant until next rescheduled election.

Prop 37 NO

Middle-income home buyers down payment and 2nd Mortgages

$25 billion in revenue bonds not repaid by taxpayer $$ Funds are repaid by the mortgage payment of those using the program.

Prop 38 NO

$8.4 billion for immunology research

General obligation bonds WILL cost taxpayer $500 million annually for 25 years to repay.

Prop 39

YES

Establishes VOTER ID and Citizenship Requirement

Proof of citizenship and Photo ID are critical steps in securing California Elections. THIS MUST PASS

Prop 40 NO

Billionaire Tax

A Wealth Tax that will eventually extend to all taxpayers. It will tax 401K, savings accounts, home equity, and more MUST FAIL!

Prop 41

YES

Requires audits of programs funded by new state special taxes

Taxpayer funded programs need accountability to the taxpayers

Prop 42

YES

Prohibits new state personal property taxes and certain retroactive state taxes

Prevents new taxes on personal property. Will offset the wealth tax. If both pass, one with more votes prevails.

Prop 43

YES

Local Taxes: limitation Taxpayer Protection 

Saves Proposition 13 property owners' protections. Restores the 2/3 vote required for any new local taxes.

Prop 44 NO

Requires federally qualified Community Health Clinics to spend 90% of federal revenue on program services.

Prop 45 NO

Expedited Environmental review for certain projects

Shortcuts public safety & local control for special interest energy projects
